ok, i'll attempt to give some details of our schedule today.

• we'll ride with the caravan at least for a while. at some point, we will have to decide if we're going to go with the faster splinter group. not sure yet if we'll do that.

• hope to arrive in roswell at 1pm Mountain Time. yep, we gain another hour, i think that's when we hit New Mexico.

• we'll lose signal at some point today, then pick it back up just outside of roswell.

• once in roswell, i have to go immediately to the conference center, then dan may go back to the city boundary to get coverage (video, possibly also webcast) of the houston/slower folks coming into town all in a group. so we may continue to webcast during that time.

• we may attempt to webcast the bug glow... that's around dinner time on til 10pm or so?

• tomorrow we should start up pretty early, 8am or thereabouts.

Destination: Roswell! whee!

• we were surprised by the appearance of tom perrone in dallas... he'd flown in from CT, and had left it as a surprise for steve (of trixie fame). he's riding with barbara in the aquarius blue nbc.

• john went with a few folks for good mexican food in a town 70 miles away from sweetwater, and while he was gone we all decided that we want to leave at 8:30 this morning and get to roswell as quick as possible. probably not a nice feeling for a leader to have his lead-ees make a decision like that, but hey, it's democracy at work here.

• we may not stop at the dairy queen. we definitely won't wait for the houston folks if we do. so we may be a relatively small group going into roswell. i'm mildly bummed about that, but dan and i have plans to use it to our advantage.

• i'm think i may have come up with a good idea for the final web cam shot EVER. if i can pull it off, it'll occur in the convention center parking lot after the parade... so keeeeeep watching. this means we'll also webcast the parade (if we can manage to participate).

• i probably didn't sleep enough last night but i'm full of nervous energy now. this is spacepod's last approach to roswell... the last time i will webcast this. i want to do it all right.

• there's so much to do today and tomorrow. my brain feels really full.
