Dennis and Sean in BUZZZ, black TDI

This is a nice part of the trip; there's enough people to keep it interesting, but it's a small enough number that it's still intimate. These are the people that you bond with the most, the people who are with you for the whole trip.

I guess the big even the day for me was the seeming death of my air conditioning about an hour out from memphis. this was a big crisis for me (of course), but i asked for help from christa and the list, and of course, these amazing people responded immediately. Susan Hester called the dealership in Lubbock on my behalf and got me an appointment on Monday. When i tried the a/c again after the car had been cooling down for a couple of hours, it worked just fine. I had been feeling some vibration in the gas pedal during lengthy idles and stop and go traffic. I'll try to go easy on it until I can get it looked at.

And what I actually hope to do is go down to las cruces and get him in at the dealership there; that way, i'd get to see marta and michael after all, which would certainly be a silver lining.

So, now i've had the obligatory travel crisis, after which nothing seems like a big deal (hopefully), and i can get on with having a good (if hectic) time.

tired now... must sleep or something.

We lost your LIVE NB Cam late today (6-15) just as you were following the VORTEX Blue NB... I guess the dessert is without cell tower coverage due to lack of calls between tumbleweeds or cactus plants.

Hopefully someone at VWoA will tune-in to your multi-Cam R2Kv2 coverage this weekend. Perhaps next year we could establish an official connection with a VWoA public relations contact person well in advance of R2Kv3.

Sorry, "pressure, WHAT pressure??"
Your wonderful efforts have more than been well received by those of left behind. THX, Steve

i just had this crazy thought that i could fly in the for the weekend to meet you guys. a couple of my friends told me that they used priceline to get ultra-cheap last minute flights to seattle for a spur of the moment vacation a few weeks ago... so that got me thinking it might actually be possible.

but then i looked at my bank account and there's no way i could afford it. :( i already bought a plane ticket for an upcoming wedding this month (not to mention a new clutch for the CRX).

aah, well. i'll just have to enjoy the webcams and remember the good times from last year.
